ADOTAS — Catalyst:SF, Acquisio, Emovendo, Zynga, MyMiniLife all had annoucements, and the url shortening niche became slightly trimmer.
Tr.im, a url shortener, has decided to cease operations, concluding that what it does others can do, and the information it gathered is just sucked up by everyone else.
Social gaming company Zynga has acquired MyMiniLife, a Palo Alto-based social entertainment firm that lets users create and decorate virtual environments. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. (Paid Content)
Acquisio, a provider of paid search management software, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all assets of privately held Emovendo, including its flagship product, landing page application PageVester (http://www.pagevester.com). The terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to the company, PageVester allows users to rapidly build and deploy professional landing pages, and also supports the creation and management of A/B tests with Google Website Optimizer. A/B tests allow marketers to present alternating versions of the same page to its site visitors in order to determine which one provides the best ROI.
Catalyst:SF has hired Shannon Light to be Senior Director of Account Strategy. Prior to joining Catalyst:SF, Ms Light was Associate Communications Director at Universal McCann San Francisco for over two years. Before that, she expanded her digital media experience while at Carat Fusion. In 2001, Ms Light began her career in digital media at Modem Media working on such clients as Hewlett-Packard and Intel.
