Mark Jung was named Epic Advertising’s new Chairman of the Board. Previously, Jung was Chief Operating Officer of Fox Interactive Media. Jung was also CEO and Co-Founder of IGN Entertainment. In 2005, Jung was responsible for IGN’s sale to News Corp, Fox Interactive Media’s parent.

Alterian, a global provider of integrated marketing solutions, has added social media monitoring company Techrigy. The terms were not disclosed. Techrigy has enterprise-grade SMM and analysis solution called SM2, targeted at PR and marketing pros who want to keep tabs on what is being said online about the companies and brands they represent.

AudienceScience has partnered with Hulu to behaviorally target pure play video ads.

Compete and Dynamic Logic have partnered on *AdIndex Connects, combining behavioral and attitudinal measurements of ad effectiveness, which allows marketers to marry what consumers say with what they actually do after seeing an ad online.  Earlier this week, Compete unveiled AdImpact, a tool that gives publishers a way to demonstrate the value of advertising on their properties, and helps marketers build more effective advertising campaigns.
