PointRoll:

Catherine Spurway has been named Vice President, Strategy & Marketing, Chris Baughman has been appointed to the position of AVP, Creative Strategy, and Elaine Ybarra has been hired as the Marketing Manager.

Catherine Spurway joined PointRoll in 2005 and strategically built the company’s marketing team in 2006. She began her career at direct response agency M&M Associates working with retailers including Saks, Inc., Bergdorf Goodman and Wal-Mart before managing brand efforts at Exelon and managing cross-channel marketing campaigns for leading companies including ARAMARK while at GailForce communications.

Chris Baughman joined PointRoll as an art director, working with clients to help brands and creative agencies understand the possibilities of Rich Media before relocating to Los Angeles to lead PointRoll’s creative services team in the west. Prior to his current role Chris was an associate creative director with Crew Creative, managing their display business where he led a team in the development and execution of rich media campaigns from conception to design and build-out.

Elaine Ybarra brings to PointRoll vast experience in online marketing having worked on the publisher, agency, and client sides of the business. As the Front Page Ad Solutions Manager for Yahoo!, Elaine was responsible for monetizing the single most profitable ad unit on the Yahoo! network. Prior to Yahoo! Elaine was a Senior Account Manager at Avenue A where she gained first hand rich media experience on a variety of clients. Elaine began her career as an Associate Marketing Manager at Microsoft where she participated in the Marketing Leadership Recruit Program.

Word of Mouth Marketing Association:

John Moore was appointed to the role of WOM Enthusiast, in which he will serve as the organization’s chief evangelist to help generate excitement and acceptance for the practice of word-of mouth marketing and for WOMMA’s educational and advocacy services on behalf of WOM practitioners

In 2005, he established the Brand Autopsy Marketing Practice, to share lessons he has learned about marketing with passion and purpose. From 1994 through 2004, Moore worked in the marketing departments of Starbucks Coffee and Whole Foods Market. At both brands, he focused his teams on activities that were less about using traditional advertising, and more about using the influential power of devoted customers as the advertising vehicle.

Scienceuticals:

Jennifer M. Heisler was appointed as the Director of Marketing. Heisler will oversee all internal and external communications, including marketing, public relations, and branding, as well as manage the development of new private label products. Heisler has over a decade of experience aggressively marketing products and services, having managed results-oriented communication programs for a variety of organizations, both as an internal team member and as a consultant. In the past she has worked with such icons as McGruff the Crime Dog, and with technology companies in all stages of growth. She will be based at Scienceuticals’ east coast manufacturing facility in Summerville, South Carolina.

Siegel+Gale:

Expanded its presence in San Francisco and hired Jacqueline Rhoades as its Vice President of Business Development. Siegel+Gale has a full-service office in Los Angeles. Ms. Rhoades, based in San Francisco, will represent the firm in Northern California.

Prior to joining Siegel+Gale, Rhoades was part of the launch team at proxy advisory firm Glass, Lewis & Co., where she served as Vice President of Sales until its sale to Xinhua Finance in 2007. She spent more than a decade in the high-tech publishing industry working for International Data Group and CMP Media, and began her career in fundraising for The Santa Fe Opera.
