GizaPage, social network organizer, beta launches

startup_small.jpgADOTAS — With the proliferation of web footprints, users are scattered and organizing them in one place is a good idea.

Of course, there is a number of organizers out there, but another one, GizaPage, unveiled today. According to founder and CEO Amit Jaipuria, it is a layer over the networks. “We are not taking content. Our platform will increase their traffic and more people will see their ads.”

GizaPage consolidates a number of online profiles side-by-side under a single, customizable URL, letting you access, update, manage and share your many social networking footprints—from more than 40 social sites including Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, LinkedIn, WordPress, Last.fm and Digg—from one location. A wizard helps you easily import your contacts from Gmail, Hotmail, LinkedIn, etc., so you can connect on GizaPage as well as on shared social networks. The page also allows a certain amount of privacy, so while you can see it, others who land on the page can’t. While the profiles can be found elsewhere, it’s an interesting feature.

Jaipuria, who has led an interesting life, said the company has some angel funding, but hopes to gain additional funding after proving itself. While the company intends to sell advertising, revenue will mostly come from premium services.
