Hiring and promotions
ADOTAS – Quattro Wireless, Walhstrom, starMedia and Kayak have announced hirings.
Kayak:
The travel website has hired Robert J. Birge as chief marketing officer. He previously joined IMG in 2006 as CMO of its sports and entertainment group. A year later, he was promoted to worldwide CMOIMG Worldwide.
Quattro Wireless:
Lynn Tornabene hired as Chief Marketing Officer. She is based in the company’s New York office. Prior to joining Quattro Wireless, Tornabene served as the Head of DoubleClick Communications for Google Inc., coming to the company through its acquisition of DoubleClick Inc. Previously, Tornabene held positions at Stockback, Wunderman/Y&R, IBM and PIA Radio Network.
Dan Grigorivici was hired as VP Data Strategy, Targeting and Analytics. Grigorivici was previously at Rapp (formerly Rapp Collins, an Omnicom company). Earlier, he served as Vice President of Data Strategy and Analytics at TACODA. His background also includes positions at Digitas and Carat Fusion.
Mike Owen was hire as East Coast Director of Ad Sales. Owen brings national sales experience from his time at Menshealth.com. Previously, he consulted with Napster’s ad-supported music service and directed east coast sales at EW.com.
starMedia:
Manuel Mazzanti was appointed Regional Marketing Director. Mazzanti joins starMedia from Yahoo where he was responsible for marketing and public relations for Yahoo! Hispanic Americas. Before joining Yahoo! in 2005, he owned a broadband company in Mexico. Prior to that he held senior marketing positions at Diveo Mexico, an outsourcing provider for mission critical IT systems, OptiGlobe Mexico, a Data Center services company in Latin America, Iridium South America and SkyTel Argentina.
Walhstrom:
Geoff Kehoe has become president of the direct response and local online ad division of IPG. Kehoe most recently served as global director of e-commerce marketing at Motorola. Prior to that, he worked with a number of marketers and agencies, including Amazon, *T-Mobile* and Draftfcb.
