See you at Search Engine Strategies Conference

ADOTAS — Just a quick note. Starting today, I will be at the Search Engine Strategies Conference & Expo in New York City.

We’ll have observations, comments and other info from me on the event, but anyone who wants to drop me a line, blog their own observations or comments can reach me by email or message me on my phone. My email is ed@adotas.com and my cell is 646-786-1695. You can check out what I look like here (no beefcake, sorry).

Also, we’re starting an editorial calendar. In June, we will be focusing on Search. If anyone wants to editorially contribute, drop me a line.

I’ll be floating around often, and hope to meet as many of you as possible.

• Right now, at the beginning of 2012, what are you watching the most closely for its ad and marketing opportunities?

  • Mobile. Smart devices have become standard, and advertising is only going to become more creative there.
  • Online video. It's a real competitor to TV now, and it presents really interesting ways to engage viewers.
  • Social media. The new Facebook timeline and the surge of Google+ have cracked the game wide open again.
  • Tempting as it might be, I don't want to get too involved in one aspect.
  • See, I think this might be a good time to see what would happen if we revisited MySpace, but made the ads slightly bigger... with more strobe effect.
