Hiring, promotion and moving roundup
ADOTAS — VideoEgg, Mars Advertising, Audience Science, Double Fusion, R/GA, AFAR and American Academy of Family Physicians had hirings, promotions and new locations announced.
VideoEgg:
Shelley Gosney joins as the Southeast sales manager and the flagship member of VideoEgg’s new Atlanta office. Gosney was previously the strategic sales director for Endemic Media. She was also the strategic sales manager for DoubleClick’s Online Media Sales Division.
It also added executives Sean Cauley in Chicago, Katie Barrett in New York and Daryl Faulkner in Montreal and has opened an Atlanta office.
Double Fusion:
Noam Korin was promoted to Vice President of Advertising Sales, Europe. Korin is a four year veteran of Double Fusion. He has served as a key architect in expanding the business in Israel, and launching Double Fusion in Europe. Prior to joining Double Fusion in 2005, Korin led the European Advertising Sales for Ad4ever Interactive Technologies LTD.
AudienceScience:
Andrew Schonfeld was hired as account manager for their client services team. For nearly the past two years, Schonfeld was the interactive media planner at Avenue A|Razorfish for the Capital One account.
The American Academy of Family Physicians:
Named Heather Boyle Townsend director of online development and partnerships in its Online and Custom Publishing Division.
Prior to joining the AAFP, Townsend served as director of patient education for GetWellNetwork in Bethesda, Md. She previously served as customer relationship director for the Eclipsys Corporation in Boca Raton, Fla., and as health enhancement coordinator for St. Luke’s Shawnee Mission Health System and Business Men’s Assurance Company in Kansas City, Mo.
AFAR:
Susan West has been named editor-in-chief of AFAR, a new experiential travel magazine launching in September of 2009 from Afar Media. Best known for co-founding Health magazine, which won four National Magazine Awards during her tenure, West most recently served as Executive Editor of Smithsonian. She has also been a developmental editor for Time Inc. Ventures. As a principal of West Gold Editorial Consulting, she formulated the editorial blueprint for Dwell magazine.
R/GA:
Dave Edwards has been promoted to group director, mobile. Edwards joined R/GA in 2005 as an account director and quickly ascended to group account director. Prior to joining R/GA, Edwards was a vice president at MRM Worldwide. Before joining MRM, Edwards spent more than five years with OgilvyOne Worldwide, where he was partner, management supervisor.
MARS Advertising:
Maribeth Fasseel was promoted to senior vice president of finance. Fasseel, formerly vice president of finance, joined MARS more than 15 years ago as a biller on the Nestlé team.
Galen Chandler was promoted to vice president, director of broadcast and digital media. Prior to his promotion, Chandler, a five-year MARS staff member, had been director of broadcast production. He came to MARS from Legendary Films, an Atlanta, Ga.-based production company, which he launched in 2000.
Jane Favret to account manager. Prior to her promotion, Favret was senior account executive and senior media planner.
Raphael Coto was hired as senior creative director based in Purchase, N.Y. Coto comes to MARS from INtegrated Marketing in Norwalk, Conn., where he was associate creative director on the McNeil / Johnson & Johnson creative team.
Bradley Doyle was hired as an account director based in Camden, N.J. Doyle joins MARS from The Topps Company where, since 1997, he held positions in marketing and operations. Most recently he was brand director for The Topps Sports and Entertainment Division. Prior to that, he served as senior brand manager working on many award-winning products, including the company’s flagship brand, Topps Baseball.
