fbExchange bought by Traffic Marketplace

manyadnetworks_small.jpgADOTAS — Traffic Marketplace has acquired fbExchange, an ad network that focuses on Facebook and social media applications.

fbExchange allows application developers to add a text link ad to their apps. In exchange, they get referred traffic from other applications on the service.

TMP is going to use fbExchange to diversify its online advertising business to social networks, according to Gigaom. No financial information was released. TMP was among the top ad networks in traffic for January. AOL’s Platform-A had 191.8 million visitors, Yahoo Network with 164.7 million visitors, ValueClick Networks with 160.2, Google Ad Network with 158.5 and Traffic Marketplace with 146.9 million.
