Facebook redesign coming?

facebook_small.jpgADOTAS — Will advertisers or users trump in a new ad look for the social network?

Facebook is quietly making plans to redesign Facebook Ads, which gives brands and businesses a way to interact with users. The pages are free, but the social network’s sales team then pushes advertisers to buy ads to point to the pages.

Features include a comment wall, photos, videos. Brands spend a lot of money is spend on customizing the page as well. Similar to what users have, the default view will show the Wall, custom apps will be pushed to a second Boxes tab. The Pages will also likely mirror the look of normal user profiles, with an image in the top left corner.

Apprantely, the new design is not going over well with advertisers, who spent a lot of time, and money, on them. But what will users think? The last time Facebook did something quietly, some got (ahem) a bit heated. But if it works for users, creating a better experience and more interaction, advertisers will come around. They have to.

UPDATE: Facebook has also teamed with Oodle on social networking classifieds.
