SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION ADVANCED SKILLS WORKSHOP – 1/14/09

Search Engine Optimization Advanced Skills WorkshopDate: 1/14/09 – 10amLocation: Bishop Ranch Conference Center, 2326 Camino Ramon, San Ramon, CACost: $1495Description: 

In the three-day Advanced SEO Skills Workshop we add to the basics that are taught in the Essential Skills workshop. We go further in depth into keyword research, how search engines work, the use of social media, and advanced forensics tools that can be applied in real-world situations to get better rankings and overtake online competitors. 

Bring your laptop and problems to work on during class, either individually or in groups. You’ll be given a student id to access WordTracker. Your expected skill level to take the Advanced Skills class should be equivalent to those who have taken the Essential Skills workshop. 

The workshop concludes with an on-line examination to ensure that you have mastered the skills taught in the workshop, and certificates will be awarded afterwards.

• Right now, at the beginning of 2012, what are you watching the most closely for its ad and marketing opportunities?

  • Mobile. Smart devices have become standard, and advertising is only going to become more creative there.
  • Online video. It's a real competitor to TV now, and it presents really interesting ways to engage viewers.
  • Social media. The new Facebook timeline and the surge of Google+ have cracked the game wide open again.
  • Tempting as it might be, I don't want to get too involved in one aspect.
  • See, I think this might be a good time to see what would happen if we revisited MySpace, but made the ads slightly bigger... with more strobe effect.
