internet_tv_small.jpgADOTAS — Nearly everyone I talk to says that during the next year we will see a lot of companies go under.

A big reason is that some companies aren’t quick to adapt to an always developing landscape. I was reminded of that reading this article about Salesforce.com. It’s a company that helps businesses keep track of customers and prospects.

But Salesforce has taken some ideas from Facebook and Apple and has begun developing services that consumers will be able to use. It will let its applications trade data with other companies that offer cloud computing services, like Google, Amazon.com and Facebook.

As Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s chief executive told the Times, “All platforms started as killer apps.”
