Perhaps learning a lesson from the Olympics, most TV networks are planning to increase their Web coverage. Current TV is going so far as to rely entirely on Web users to provide its news content, Reuters is reporting. The cable channel is partnering with Digg and Twitter to help them gather the news from citizen journalists.

CNN said that it’s bracing for more than 1 billion page views today and The New York Times said it’s expecting record-breaking traffic today as well.
