Salesforce Partners With Facebook, Amazon


facebook_small.jpgADOTAS – Software provider Salesforce has linked up with Facebook and Amazon on a new site management service that aims to reel customers into its cloud computing offerings.

The company will charge customers a monthly fee for the software. Third-party developers sell apps to businesses through Salesforce’s site. The new tool also allows clients to build and manage intranets and external sites. Parts of the service will be included in Salesforce’s fee, but customers will have to cough up an extra $1,000 a month for an extra 1 million page views.

Salesforce’s users will be able to develop apps that will appear natively on Facebook. They can also utilize Amazon for on-demand storage and computing services like EC2.
