MGM To Post Films, Shows on YouTube

you tubeADOTAS – The ad-revenue challenged YouTube is trying once again to get some green with its new deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayers. The Brobdingnagian, but equally revenue-challenged studio has given the video-sharing site permission to post full-length TV shows and movies from its archives.

The partnership is being kicked off with old episodes of cult-fave “American Gladiators.” All of the footage will be free with ads running next to the videos.

Google’s YouTube will now be in competition with News Corp.’s Hulu, which features full-length shows from Fox, NBC and CBS.
