Hiring Round-Up: Yieldex, Mindset Media

ADOTAS – Yieldex, an inventory management and forecasting platform for addressable media, today announced that Larry Allen, formerly the SVP for Network Development at AOL’s Platform A, has joined the company as its President. He will be based in the company’s New York office.

Online ad network Mindset Media has announced three new hires: JB Brokaw, executive director, sales and business development; Rosemary Biagioni, finance director and Calvin Norman, sales director, Mindset Media Network. Brokaw hails from Range Online Media, where he was vice president and general manager. Biagioni held senior-level positions at SilverCarrot, Independent Media Services, and Kari-Out Company. Norman has held positions at CBS Inc., WABC-TV and Answers Corporation.

• Right now, at the beginning of 2012, what are you watching the most closely for its ad and marketing opportunities?

  • Mobile. Smart devices have become standard, and advertising is only going to become more creative there.
  • Online video. It's a real competitor to TV now, and it presents really interesting ways to engage viewers.
  • Social media. The new Facebook timeline and the surge of Google+ have cracked the game wide open again.
  • Tempting as it might be, I don't want to get too involved in one aspect.
  • See, I think this might be a good time to see what would happen if we revisited MySpace, but made the ads slightly bigger... with more strobe effect.
