Vivaty Extends Boundaries of Its Virtual World
ADOTAS – Vivaty has launched Vivaty Everywhere, the latest addition to its online virtual world platform. It’s already available on Facebook and AOL’s IM chat service. The new widget enables anyone to embed 3-D virtual worlds almost anywhere online.
Vivaty isn’t targeting one specific demographic. “We’re trying to bridge the gap between the easy accessibility of 2-D virtual worlds, which cater to younger teens group, while bringing the quality of a Sims video game or Pixar movie,” Heidi Perry, Vivaty’s VP of marketing, told ADOTAS.
Today, the company launched two embeddable Vivaty scenes from innovative music marketer Universal Music Group and leading political satire company, BarelyPolitical.
“We were a good fit for Universal, who was looking for something they could plug into every social site and fan site online,” Perry said. “They also wanted flexibility, speed and the opportunity to delve into 3-D.”
Universal Music Group is touting its “The Cosmos Rocks” album release from Queen + Paul Rodgers with an app that allows Queen fans to listen to tracks from the new album, watch videos, chat, dance and discuss all eras of the band’s history. BarelyPolitical will use the widget to showcase its most popular and recent Obama Girl election videos for fans to share and discuss live.
“Our vision is to make virtual experiences as accessible, engaging and easy to use as a Web page,” said Keith McCurdy, Vivaty CEO and co-founder. “Vivaty Everywhere gives brands, fan sites and bloggers a rich, engaging way to inject their sites with social experiences that reflect their media and style choices.”
Vivaty is a Web-based virtual experience where users can personalize their own virtual scene and avatar, and socialize with their friends. Founded in 2007, Vivaty is backed by venture capitalists Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Mohr Davidow Ventures.
