Pixsy, Sonic From Distribution Partnership
ADOTAS – Pixsy Corp., a B2B provider of private label video and image search, is forming a distribution partnership with digital media software shop Sonic Solutions. Sonic will employ Pixsy’s Media Search Platform to offer video/image/search capabilities in its recently unveiled digital media service, Roxio Online.
“Pixsy was a natural choice as we looked to integrate customized multimedia search capabilities into Roxio Online,” said Tom McKeon, senior director of Web products and services, Sonic Solutions. “Pixsy’s APIs require minimal development effort and allow us to provide our customers with direct access to an almost limitless database of fresh content.”
Pixsy was founded in 2005 by a team of technologists from Microsoft Corp. Pixsy powers video and image search experiences for some of the Internet’s leading brands including Travelocity, Lycos, National Lampoon, and Infospace. The “powered by Pixsy” network of Web sites and applications reaches millions of unique users each month.
