Funding Round-Up: Helium, Access 360 Media, SB Nation, Innovectra
ADOTAS – Citizen journalism hub Helium.com has just closed a $17 million Series A round of funding. Investments from an international group of investors, led by Signature Capital LLC and including Northport Private Equity, will help the citizen journalism hub continue to build tight partnerships with leading publishers and provide support for the launch of new digital media products, the company said.
Access 360 Media has raised $8 million in a Series B round of funding led by Mission Ventures. Bessemer Venture Partners also participated. Access 360 Media operates an out-of-home media network that incorporates in-store, online and mobile components.
According to reports, Jim Bankoff, a former AOL executive, has secured a mid-seven-figure (possibly around $3.5 million) sum of venture capital for SB nation, a new network of sports blogs. Funding was led by Accel Partners. Allen & Co. also participated.
Innovectra Corp., an online local advertising tech company, has announced the completion of $2 million venture loan from MMV Financial. Innovectra will use the financing to invest in and market its ActivImpact platform – which provides Yellow Pages publishers with a local search advertising platform that includes Internet yellow pages ad packages, lead generation sites, online videos, dynamic e-coupons and search engine marketing to local businesses.
