ADOTAS – Recession, what recession? AdMob has just closed a $15.7 million round of financing (its third), led by Sequoia Capital’s Growth Fund with Accel Partners participating. Sequoia has long been an AdMob supporter, leading its first $4 million round and its second $15 million round.
AdMob was founded in 2006, has raised $34.3 million to date and has tripled the ads it served last year to roughly 4.5 billion.
The latest cash infusion will be used to recruit staffers in sales and markets that are booming (India and South Africa, for example).
Apparently Sequoia’s RIP: Good Times missive doesn’t apply to all of its companies.
