getsmart.jpgADOTAS – Good news for online advertisers trying to reach people with bank: affluent readers spend about 22 hours a week online (up from 10.7 in 2003), according to a survey by Ipsos Mendelsohn first reported in AdAge.

Affluence is defined as those making more than $100,000 a year.

The wealthiest sector reports that they spend as much time reading print pubs as they did five years ago, but less time watching TV (down to 18.6 hours from 23.7) and slightly less time listening to the radio.

Other key findings:

40% use their mobile phones to go online. (The number goes up with the level of affluence — 57% earning more than $250,000 use mobile phones to go online).
