Pangea Media Expands Network With LaughNetwork Buy
ADOTAS – Online quiz leader Pangea Media has purchased humor, quiz and casual entertainment shop LaughNetwork. Financial details were not disclosed.
This acquisition enables Pangea to expand into new verticals and also offers its users a more diverse range of interactive content through LaughNetwork’s sites, including Funnies.com, YourSpaceIsBest, HopelessRomantic.com and others. More than 300,000 visitors access LaughNetwork sites each day resulting in more than 1.5 million page views.
In addition to growing its user base, the LaughNetwork buy will give interactive advertisers a gaggle of new options.
“The LaughNetwork acquisition is part of Pangea Media’s strategy to provide our user base with premium content that is entertaining and engaging,” said Seth Lieberman, CEO of Pangea Media. “It also enables Pangea Media to provide marketers with high-quality traffic across a diverse range of content verticals resulting in more effective advertising and marketing campaigns.”
Pangea Media’s network of quiz and casual entertainment Web sites includes QuizRocket.com and Quibblo.com. Through this network, Pangea Media enables users to take and/or create quizzes and quiz-based content and offers technologies that publishers can use to embed quiz-related content on their own sites. The sites offers users an interactive experience while providing marketers with a mechanism for wrapping brand messages around content that is meaningful to their target consumer.
