Hollywood.com Gets Facelift

hollywood1.jpgADOTAS – Hollywood.com has signed itself up for a bit of a nip and tuck. The entertainment news company recently rolled out its redesigned site – and so far, the makeover is a success. The official launch is slated for Sept. 30.

The site, which already boasts 23 million page views and 4.2 million unique users, wanted to distance itself from the fashion, scandal and trash-talking coverage seen on so many celebrity sites and concentrate on the projects said celebrities are actually churning out. The site is also expanding its focus on social networking – padding out its fan community features with plans to launch a widget in the next few months.

“Our audience is fanatical about entertainment,” Kevin Davis, Hollywood.com’s president and COO told ADOTAS. “We focus on the superfan. We’re adding more interactive features so they can get involved in how the content is displayed. We’re using a technology called Pluck to power the profiles, comments and user-generated blogs – which they’ll also be able to post on their personal pages on social sites.”
