Hires Round-Up: Next New, Seevast, Apptera, Meebo
ADOTAS – Online micro-television network creator Next New Networks has named Lance Podell CEO. He succeeds Herb Scannell, Next New’s founder. Scannell recently stepped down to become executive chairman. Most recently, Podell was CEO of online marketing services shop Seevast Corp.
At Seevast, Jaan Janes and Jeff Kamikow have been promoted to replace Podell. Janes is now president of business and product development and Kamikow is president of sales and operations.
Henry Vogel has been named president and CEO of Apptera, a voice and visual mobile advertising company. Vogel most recently helmed Quigo Technologies as its chief revenue officer.
An online live communication platform, Meebo, has hired Pip Marquez de la Plata as senior vice president of marketing. Previously, he was vice president of marketing and brand strategy for the Entertainment Group at CNET Networks.
