legal13.jpgADOTAS – Comcast has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Communications Commission in a bid to overturn the agency’s precedent-setting 3-2 decision saying that Comcast illegally blocked certain online traffic.

The FCC found that Comcast violated net-neutrality principles and ordered Comcast to stop stymieing peer-to-peer traffic. The lawsuit doesn’t reveal the content of the complaint; the company also issued a statement saying it planned to follow the FCC’s directive, but was only filing the suit to protect its legal rights and “challenge the basis the Commission found that Comcast violated federal policy in the absence of pre-existing legally enforceable standards or rules.”
