Aura Group Personalizes Moviegoers’ Ad Experience
ADOTAS – New media advertising and consulting agency the Aura Group has launched an advanced version of its text-from-banner advertising technology, MovieConnect. Dubbed Movie Connect 2.0, it was designed to enhance online movie banner advertisements by automatically identifying the consumer’s location and displaying the closest theaters and show times within the ad unit.
“MovieConnect 2.0 offers convenience for anyone, providing relevant information within the banner ad, interfacing directly to consumers on their phones. It gives a new meaning to ‘brand lift’,” David Bailey, CEO of the Aura Group, said.
Rich media ad shop PointRoll, a subsidiary of Gannett Co., licensed the geo-targeting service for rich media ads which can be included in all of the company’s ad units and deployed within any Flash banner ad hosted by any publisher. The ads are universally accepted and the service is available for all theaters or ticketing agencies.
The Aura Group has developed a service that enables consumers to view information online and send it to their mobile devices for on-the-go convenience without the hassles of printing or writing down show time information. The Aura Group has also partnered with 43KIX, an established company involved in print-to-mobile campaigns.
Users will only receive messages when they request information on a movie’s locations and show times.
