Time Warner Set To Spin Off AOL

aol.jpgADOTAS – It looks like Time Warner sprinting ahead with its plan to sell AOL. In a bid to do it faster, it looks like AOL will be sold off in pieces – the portal and ad biz will be officially separated from AOL’s dial-up access biz.

Time Warner is reportedly seeking $10 billion for the ad/content chunk, though the only real contenders for that business are Yahoo or Microsoft.

Earthlink has been named as a potential buyer of AOL’s dial up business (currently valued at between $2 billion and $3 billion).
