google_recruiting_small.jpgADOTAS – Google’s long-awaited iTunes-like app store for the iPhone is finally here. Dubbed the Android Market, it will shill programs the entire Google mobile line-up and for the soon-to-launch Gphone.

The market will act as an online center where consumers can buy, rate and download apps for their open-source OS mobile phones.

Why now?

“Similar to YouTube, content can debut in the marketplace after only three simple steps: register as a merchant, upload and describe your content and publish it,” Eric Chu said in an Android blog post . “We chose the term ‘market’ rather than ’store’ because we feel that developers should have an open and unobstructed environment to make their content available.”
