LiveDeal, Inc. Announces Third Quarter Results
ADOTAS — LiveDeal, Inc., a combined local online classifieds and Yellow Pages marketplace, announced that the third quarter 2008 net revenues were $5.8 million versus the $6.0 million earned in the third quarter of 2007. This difference has been attributed to recent changes in management and operating expenses related to the June 2007 acquisition of LiveDeal, Inc.
“This was a critical transitional quarter for LiveDeal,” said Michael Edelhart, Interim Chief Executive Officer. “The Company has put itself in a position to continue investment in fiscal 2008 in order to capture the market opportunities in front of us.”
Gross profit for the third quarter of fiscal 2008 was approximately $4.7 million, down from $5.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2007.
The Company continued to coordinate the efforts of its operations in the Philippines and its Las Vegas premium sales effort. The Las Vegas call center’s third quarter earned revenue exceeded second quarter earned revenue by 196%.
