Google Search Share Up in U.S., Down Globally
ADOTAS – Google continued to snatch search share in the U.S. in July, according to a report from comScore. But the search titan isn’t doing as well abroad.
The U.S. search share breakdown for July (via TechCrunch.com):
Google: 61.9%, up 0.4% since June
Yahoo: 20.5%, down 0.4% since June
AOL: 4.5%, up 0.2% since June
Microsoft: 8.9%, down 0.3% since June
Ask: 4.2%, up 0.1% since June
Google’s search query volume didn’t budge at 33.2% year-over-year. But globally, Google’s share went down.
The global search share breakdown:
Google: 64.1%, down 3.8%
Yahoo: 14.6%, down 1%
Baidu: 12.9%, up 5.2%
Microsoft: 3.6%, down 0.2%
NHN: 2.1%, down 0.2%
Ask: 1.6%, down 0.1%
AOL: 1%, down 0.1%
