Rumor: Media Breakaway Sold for $100M?

hearing1.jpgADOTAS – Media Breakaway is in Ybrant Digital’s crosshairs, according to The Economic Times of India – a rumor that Media Breakaway disputes.

Ybrant, a digital marketing firm based in Hyberabad, India, is looking to snap up Media Breakaway for roughly $100 million, sources told the paper. While Media Breakaway is known for its performance-based online advertising and direct marketing, it’s notorious for its legal tussles with Microsoft and MySpace.

“Not sure where that rumor came from, but we haven’t sold, don’t even have an offer on the table from any one – not Ybrant or anyone,” Scott Richter, CEO of Media Breakaway told ADOTAS. “And I don’t know who started the rumor, but it will take a lot more than $100 million to buy us.”
