Marchex Launches Ad Platform 2.0

growth1.jpgADOTAS – Local search and ad company Marchex, Inc. has launched Marchex Connect 2.0, a next-gen local advertising platform. Marchex Connect connects three products: online advertising, call-based advertising and Business Profile Pages – fully trackable, branded Web pages that give advertisers a local online presence.

Marchex Connect supports more than 65,000 local advertisers. It also serves national advertisers looking to target customers locally and conglomerates like Yellow Pages that want to sell local ads under their own name.

Marchex also announced the formation of the Marchex Digital Platform Group: it will unite the company’s voice services, interactive marketing and platform development teams in a bid to better provide integrated local ad products, services and analytics to its clients. Subsidiaries VoiceStar (snagged for $28 million last year) and Traffic Leader will be unified under the Digital Platform umbrella.

“We have invested heavily to build a performance-based, local-centric advertising platform for local resellers and advertisers that integrates online and call-based advertising products and services at scale, all supported by sophisticated reporting and analytics,” said John Keister, Marchex President and COO. “Our goal at Marchex is to accelerate the adoption of local online advertising and to deliver the highest volume of quality local leads to our advertisers at the most reasonable cost in the marketplace.”
