Hiring Round Up: Zvents, Granite Ventures, Buzztime
ADOTAS – Local events network Zvents has added Paul Levine — currently the vice president of marketing at AdBrite and the former GM of Yahoo Local – to its board of directors. Zvents has raised about $7 million in venture capital since its launch in 2005.
Granite Ventures has welcomed Eric Gries and William Miller on board. Gries will serve as Granite’s executive in residence; previously, he built and led XACCT, a network mediation market, as its president and CEO (when it was acquired by Amdocs in 2004, he stayed on board as senior vice president). Miller will be a strategic adviser at Granite; he has worked as an independent director and consultant to a variety of technology companies since 1999.
NTN Buzztime, an out-of-home interactive entertainment company, has appointed Peter Boylan III as executive vice president of sales. Boylan joins Buzztime from Enterprise Media Networks.
