Get Ready For Affiliate Summit Boston!
ADOTAS–Affiliate Summit East is just around the corner and the burgeoning conference series has expanded into the largest event for affiliate marketers. When asking about her background and the success of the conference, co-founder Missy Ward said “I’ve been in the industry for many years in various positions within several companies. That being said, the one thing that has remained constant during my career is the fact that I’ve always been an affiliate. The same goes for my business partner, Shawn Collins. I guess that because we are so embedded in this industry we are very aware of the issues and hot topics that concern us all. Conference owners with in-depth hands-on knowledge of the industry that they are running a conference about, definitely helps with the success of the conference.
To me, Affiliate Summit is a “user-generated conference”. The tremendous amount of feedback that comes in from our attendees really helps shape our agenda. Without listening to comments and criticisms, the show would not have grown to where it is today.”
The upcoming event is sure to live up to everyone’s expectations. With exciting keynote speakers and entertainment, attendees are in for what is sure to be a worthwhile trip. “I can’t wait for our keynote speaker, Cory Booker. He is the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey. He’s got a resume that would make any mother proud. He’s done a tremendous job of cleaning up Newark by giving back to his community and teaching others to do so. His philosophies are very similar to ours, so we are thrilled to have him”, Ward stated.
“We also are going to have a fantastic performance by Blue Man Group right before the keynote. Our attendees are definitely in for a treat there. I’m also anxious to see a number of the sessions and especially join in on the talk regarding the New York Affiliate Tax issues and solutions.
Our Platinum Sponsor (Intela, LLC), Gold Sponsor (Linkshare Corp.), Silver Sponsor (OneNetworkDirect) and Bronze Sponsor (Advertising.com’s buy.at Affiliate Platform) have some exciting news and updates for attendees as well.
We’ve also set up a Hospitality Room, sponsored by Partner Fusion on Monday and Tuesday night where our attendees can relax and network. This is new for us, and the response thus far has been extremely positive.
Oh – and who doesn’t love the parties???? There are a number of them going on each night.”
Attendees are sure to leave the event “with plenty of new ideas and strategies to help improve their business along with dozens of new contacts,” Ward assured. For those looking for job opportunities, Ward said they would not be at a loss, “With nearly 200 exhibitors in the Meet Market and Exhibit Hall and 200+ attendees, there’s bound to be countless opportunities for folks that know how to network.”
In asking if clinics and discussions or networking opportunities were more important, Ward noted that a balance of the two was the way to optimize the experience. “Both are equally important – especially now. The affiliate marketing industry is undergoing major changes the effect merchant and affiliates – associations are being formed that will further raise the credibility and foster the growth of our industry. If you don’t know what’s going on, you can’t make informed decisions about your business. Attending sessions and networking with people that are in the same field can help you stay abreast of these changes.”
According to Missy, the show in Boston is anticipated to have an 85% increase over last summer’s show with about 2200+ attendee.
