Chinese Video Site Attracts $30M in U.S. Funds

chinaflag.jpgADOTAS – China’s largest video Web site, Youku.com has attracted $30 in venture funding led by U.S. hedger Maverick Capital. Current U.S. investors Brookside Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures and Farallon Capital also joined in, along with Chengwie Ventures.

Youku.com also received a $10 million equipment loan from Western Technology Investment.

Youku.com attracts about 100 million uniques a month, with each person spending about 300 minutes on the site.
