Blinkx Launches New Tool To Rev Revenue
ADOTAS – Video search engine blinkx has unveiled a new tool to boost ad revenues. The product, Red Label, is billed as a complete, flexible solution that helps customers harness the Video Web and capitalize on the online video ad market.
Basically, blinkx will sell its search engine to third parties. The company will deploy/power its video search technology on customers’ sites (revenue will be garnered through advertising and split evenly). Implementing Red Label is free.
“Whether you’re launching a new Web site, or want to integrate rich media into an existing site, blinkx Red Label delivers a complete solution for your video needs,” said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO, blinkx. “We offer immediate, up-to-date access to the Web’s largest index of top quality video in addition to the world’s most powerful video search technology, with fast, easy integration.”
blinkx uses patented conceptual search, speech recognition and visual analysis software to find online video. Red Label has access to 26 million hours of content from a variety of sites.
The company powers search for Ask.com, Lycos and Real Networks.
