Apple’s Software Bugs Don’t Plague Sales

IphoneADOTAS – Apple sold its 1 millionth iPhone 3G on Sunday, just three days after its launch on Friday. The widespread reports of software bugs and other issues did nothing to stymie the iPhone mania from sweeping the nation.

The newly launched App Store also did brisk business – hosting 10 million downloads already. The App Store offers more than 500 apps, many of them free. More than 800 native apps are also available – 200 of which are free. Of the remainder, more than 90% are priced at less than $10.

“iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “It took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world.”
