Hiring Round Up: Google, Ogilvy

hiring.jpgADOTAS – The biggest hiring news is from Google.

The Internet giant has announced that Patrick Pichette will become its CFO, replacing George Reyes, whose intention to retire was announced almost a year ago. Pichette hails from Bell Canada, where was president of operations. Pichette will join Google as CFO on August 12; he’ll report to Google chief Eric Schmidt.

Ogilvy New York has added three to its executive ranks. Robert Schwartz will be executive director for the digital dialogue practice; Chris Halsall will be senior partner, global managing director of marketing strategy and Michael Dobak is coming on board as senior partner, worldwide executive marketing director. Schwartz hails from Century 21 Real Estate; Halsall from McKinsey & Co. and Dobak from Arnold.
