google_small.jpgADOTAS – Google has seen its share of courtroom drama lately, and it looks like it may be in hot water again. Interactive ads that shill “free” ringtones has Google in federal court in California, MediaPost was the first to report.

The Internet titan is facing a suit filed by New Jersey resident Jenna Goddard, in which she alleges that Google intentionally tricked users who clicked on the ads into signing up for paid subscription services.

AT&T and Azoogle have faced similar suits in the past – AT&T coughed up $3 million and Azoogle shelled out $1 million.

Kamber Edelson, the law firm that recently won a settlement from AT&T is leading the case against Google.
