Switcharoo for Troberman at Microsoft

microsoft_small.jpgADOTAS – Gayle Troberman, previously MSN’s branded-entertainment head, has been moved over to Microsoft’s interactive marketing group. Troberman will begin in her new role as general manager of global interactive campaigns on May 26.

In her new role, she’ll run the digital marketing strategy team and work directly with Microsoft agencies including Avenue A/Razorfish and McCann Worldgroup. Troberman built her reputation in MSN’s branded entertainment unit where she tried to lure marketers and advertising agencies into MSN’s fold.

Troberman’s new role is seen as a significant promotion and it underlines Microsoft’s commitment to digital marketing — the company is beginning to shift the lion’s share of its ad spend to interactive advertising.
