Spot Runner Grabs $51 Million

money_tree_small.jpgADOTAS – Spot Runner just secured a major round of cashola ($51 million!) from the likes of fancy-pants Groupe Arnault/LVMH, the U.K. media group Daily Mail and General trust, Spanish-speaking media titan Grupo Televisa and hedge fund Legg Mason Capital Management, among others.

Spot Runner, an online virtual ad agency, will use the fresh funds to expand internationally and snap up other companies (they’ve already gobbled up Weblistic and GlobShooter) – and while they’re at it, expand into other forms of media, including print. (Hey oh! New competition for everyone’s favorite nemesis, Google.)

The company now has $111 million under its belt.
