Virgin Mobile Holds Vote for Next Obama Spot

election20_small.jpgADOTAS – Canada has political fever – and they’re burning up over the U.S. presidential race … Virgin Mobile Canada is adding fuel to the fire with a new set of interactive ads its running in on metronews.ca. Visitors will be able to vote on which Senator Barack Obama spot should appear next in Virgin Mobile’s “You Call The Shots” campaign.

As part of its latest campaign to introduce their new “no-con” contracts to mobile phone lovers from coast to coast, Virgin Mobile has run a new series of ads in Metro News featuring politicians who are making the news. First Senator Hillary Clinton wondered if she could get her bill under control. Next, former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer was lamenting about how tired he was of being treated like a number.

“When the general public have an ad campaign that lets them choose the winner, not only is it democracy at its best but it really is change you can believe in,” said Nathan Rosenberg, chief marketing officer, Virgin Mobile Canada. “This is your chance to play a part in our campaign and despite rumors and conjecture about which ad will come out on top, it is now in the hands of the voters.”

Voting us open until 3 a.m. on April 24. The winning ad will appear in the April 25 edition of Metro News.
