Nirvanix Snags Rich-Media Guru
ADOTAS – Cloud storage platform provider Nirvanix announced the hiring of Patrick Ritto as its chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. Ritto hails from Internap Network Services, where he was vice president of its content distribution network and advertising engineering and quality assurance programs.
Ritto will report to CEO Patrick Harr. “Patrick has deep experience and knowledge in the fields of storage, networking, streaming media and databases and that level of talent will allow him to improve our service for customers looking to leverage our storage platform to improve their own businesses,” said Harr. “We are pleased to have Patrick join the senior team and ensure our position as the premier Cloud Storage Platform provider.”
At Internap, Ritto spearheaded the development of high-quality rich-media delivery via the Internet, including live and on-demand, mobile-enabled streaming audio and video.
