Limbo, Virgin Mobile Team Up on Mobile Promos
ADOTAS – Mobile entertainment community Limbo today announced a one-year agreement with Virgin Mobile USA, Inc. to provide exclusive programs for Virgin’s 5 million customers. Monthly and quarterly promos will also be featured in SMS blasts on Virgin XL in tandem with Limbo’s interactive mobile content.
The pass-on rate of the promotions is impressive, according to the numbers provided by the company.
“Limbo’s interactive content is producing tangible business results for Virgin Mobile USA, increasing SMS usage among participating customers. Participants indicate an increase in brand affinity and the viral spread is powerful, with over 70% of participants telling at least one friend about the promotion,” said Bob Stohrer, CMO for Virgin Mobile USA, in a release.
The monthly campaigns have begun, allowing customers to play either Limbo Grab or Limbo Unique via SMS or WAP for the chance to win such prizes as $1,000 cash, a 42” LCD TV or a 2008 convertible Mustang.
Limbo leverages its platform – including SMS, mobile Web, mobile video, the Internet and e-mail – to integrate brands into games, content and communities.
