Hey, Fuhgeddaboudit: Italian-American Network Formed
ADOTAS – Craving La Dolce Vita – or maybe just a few authentic Italian recipes? You’re in luck: an interactive advertising supported, multi-platform media company has been formed to provide a peek into the “complete Italian American experience,” the Italian American Network recently announced.
The video platform www.ItalianAmericanNetwork.com was launched first, but the company says it’s committed to launching a TV network, a video-on-demand offering, a mobile content platform in addition to other home entertainment and publishing initiatives.
“As someone who grew up in an Italian American household, I have an intimate understanding of the countless traditions and experiences that are part of a culture that millions of Americans have fallen in love with throughout the years,” founder and CEO Tony Ceglio said in a release. “Embracing this experience, the Italian American Network will offer compelling, contemporary lifestyle programming featuring the beauty, pleasures and passions of a country and a culture that for more than 500 years have enriched our country with the same. There is no lifestyle that has become more admired and envied than the Italian La Dolce Vita – the sweet life. Beginning with its initial broadband video launch, I A NET will celebrate everything Italian in an entertaining and informative way, regardless of the media platform.”
The ad-sponsored platform’s charter sponsors include Perillo Tours and ShowWineandDine.com. The network features programs that cover food, travel, health, Italian superstitions and more.
