M6 To Acquire Cyrealis

ADOTAS – M6, a French commercial television broadcaster announced today that it has begun talks to buy Cyrealis, a web publisher. The potential payment amount has not been released.

The publisher’s main focus is three editorial sites on video games, high tech and e-business, reports Reuters. M6 chairman Nicolas de Tavernost stated that the firm has planned a mid-sized acquisition in the Online “sector.”

The firm’s online offerings currently combine specialized sites linked to the Group’s TV channels, e-commerce sites including Mistergooddeal as well as community sites.

  • Online video. It's a real competitor to TV now, and it presents really interesting ways to engage viewers.

  • Tempting as it might be, I don't want to get too involved in one aspect.
  • See, I think this might be a good time to see what would happen if we revisited MySpace, but made the ads slightly bigger... with more strobe effect.
