unveiling.jpgADOTAS - Catalyst, the “Marketing Capital” firm launched by John Durham and Cory Treffiletti, has announced the unveiling of a new Emerging Media Buying Service (EMS) that will provide planning and buying advice for online video, social media, mobile, gaming and widgets.

Before Catalyst, Treffiletti worked for i-traffic, Freestyle Interactive and Carat. He currently serves as Catalyst’s president and managing partner. He stated “EMS is designed to help both agencies and marketers looking to extend their messaging into the 5 main emerging media categories. These are the areas where marketers have the least expertise and the most desire to play, so as an extension of our platform of digital mastery and as emerging media experts, we are going to help marketers make intelligent choices whether they are dabbling or launching major campaigns.”

Durham, the firm’s CEO and managing partner added “Our feeling is that emerging media platforms are tactics, and tactics need to be based on a strategy. We develop the strategy as our core business, and we now have the capabilities to execute the tactics that achieve our strategic goals in emerging media. We are going with the buying service model because it is an accepted model in the traditional world and one that is starting to be accepted online.”
