Chalk Media Optimizes Chalkboard To Ramp Up Content Capabilities

phoneguy.jpgADOTAS — Chalk Media Corp. yesterday announced that it released a new version of its proprietary mobile communication software, Mobile chalkboard. This version contains more than a dozen new features and functions, notably the ability to push multi-media content to users with supported BlackBerry smartphones.

“We are excited to be able to extend Mobile chalkboard’s functionality to all BlackBerry users,” said Stewart Walchli, president and chief executive officer of Chalk. “This enhanced capability is ideal for organizations that want a unique, secure and trackable means to communicate with their ‘Extended Enterprise’. In other words, their business partners, customers, shareholders and other key stakeholders.”

The updated chalkboard has the ability to push large multi-media files in excess of 50 megabytes, allowing clients to receive audio and video-intensive content.

Chalk recently announced that it signed a second licensing agreement for Mobile chalkboard with a large, Canadian based wireless communications company. This client will be using Mobile chalkboard’s Extended Enterprise capability to communicate with its various distribution channels around the world.

“This new functionality enables us to also target the sizeable and fast growing mobile marketing and advertising market,” said Walchli. “IDC estimates the mobile advertising market will grow from $160 million in 2006 to $4.2 billion in 2011.”
