Wallop Gets Recognition From Big Fish
Wallop, a social applications company announced this week that it has been selected to join the Microsoft Startup Accelerator Program The program is designed to connect high-potential startups committed to the Microsoft platform to an extensive networking systems that provides access to Microsoft people and programs, guidance on future directions, and support to accelerate their success.
The San Francisco-based company’s premier application, Party On!, gives users the ability to throe distinctive and unique parties from their profile page with branded invitations. Wallop also recently launched Cool Cards, an application that enables users to send customized animated greeting cards and reminds the user of important dates.
Anita Garimella, Wallop product VP stated “We are thrilled to be selected into this select group of technology companies. Party On! Is the first application to merge the consumer party life with the online world. We are looking forward to building on that momentum by releasing additional cutting-edge products using the technology and support network Microsoft provides.”
Wallop is one of 53 companies chosen for the program this year. Beti Cung, portfolio manager of Emerging Business Team (EBT) at Microsoft stated “Microsoft is pleased to be working with Wallop to deliver a comprehensive solution to customers. Wallop’s combination of innovative technology and next-generation social networking platforms provides an exciting new solution to meet the needs of our mutual customers.”
