Elop Takes Raikes’ Seat At Microsoft

contagious1.jpgMicrosoft has hired Stephen Elop, former COO of Juniper Networks to replace co-President Jeff Raikes who is resigning. Elop will be assuming his position at the end of January and sharing the role of President with Robbie Beach, president of the entertainment and devices division and Kevin Johnson, president of the platform and services division reports the Wall Street Journal.

Raikes will continue on as a member of the management team assisting in the guidance of strategy until his total exit in September.

Elop worked at Juniper for a year after a length of time at Macromedia, where he served as president and CEO when the company was bought by Adobe.
