Comcast Under Investigation

girlglass.jpgRight after Comcast breaks the news of its entertainment super aggregator Fancast, the company is under investigation by the FCC. There have been many complaints made that Comcast actively interferes with online traffic when its users attempt to share files commission’s chairman Kevin J. Martin stated according to the Associated Press.

Last year the AP found that Comcast hindered files being shared by users who have BitTorrent, a file-sharing program. The complaints came from users who found the firm interfering with other file-sharing applications, AP reports.

David L. Cohen, executive VP of Comcast stated “We look forward to responding to any F.C.C. inquiries regarding our broadband network management.” Comcast denies it blocks files from being shared.
